Happy 7th Birthday Andrew!

Oh my it was an EVENTFUL weekend!    So as you can see from the pics Andrew has a wonderful birthday:)  Everyone arrived around 6pm Friday night for a campout sleepover.  Daddy set up the tent outside for the boys to play in but eventually they slept upstairs.  First we all went fishing.  Everybody caught a fish!  For dinner we had hamburgers and hotdogs and then went for a bug hunt with flashlights and bug jars.  Andrew was dying to open his presents next.  We played outside until it was dark and then the boys hit the showers.  Yes all boys showered with soap!  Upstairs to the playroom for some Wii and dsi.  Next it was movie time watching Star Wars Phantom Menace.  Lights out at 11pm and you know they laughed and giggled for a little while:)  Wake up time was at 6am with breakfast to follow.  Jelly biscuits was Andrew's request with bacon and eggs.  Everybody had somewhere to be Saturday morning so the house was empty by 8:30am.  It  was a lot of fun!
On a side note-Andrew's actual bday was Thursday.  He wore the birthday vest at school and Mommy brought fishing pole cupcakes for snacktime.  Daddy came for lunch up at the school and Mommy did a craft project in the classroom.  Thursday night was soccer practice and more cupcakes and then dinner at McDonald's.  Whew!!!

Number Badge Day!!!!!

For many, many many years now Harding has had number badges.  Daniel earned number badges while he was in Kindegarten.  These badges are earned by self motivation in the classroom by writing on a 100's chart.  Andrew started  at the end of Januaury writing from 1-100, then each day he would continue writing 100-200 ect, ect.  Well, he had to decide what number he personally wanted to write to and  he wrote to 2,200 right before Spring Break!  He did an outstanding job!  Some days he would earn 2 badges.    His favorite badge is the basketball but he also likes the rocket, boot and football helmet.  This past Friday all the students wore all of their badges to school for Number Badge Day.

Super Star Student

Piper was the first Star Student in her class at Mother's Day Out this year.  We went to Hobby Lobby to buy the paper from the scrapbooking section.  She loved picking those out.  Mommy had a special surprise for her to decorate with glitter flower stickers:)  She was so excited to tell her teachers about all her pictures.   Her pictures we used were: Princess birthday party, first day of school, Disney World w/ Hot Dog (aka-Mickey mouse), Andrew and Piper at Kanagrooz and a picture of her at the Zoo.  Her poster will be in the classroom until the end of the school year.
