The Republic of Turkey

Andrew did a project on the Republic of Turkey for Social Studies.  At school there is a FLEX class which is Foreign Language EXperience.  Mr. Shockley teaches the students about a different country every week, so when Andrew came home with his assignment he decided to be Mr. Shockley for his presentation.  He created a PowerPoint presentation on the computer and then sent it to his teacher thru Google drive to present to the class.  He discussed the country, its flag, favorite sport, largest cities, the food and dress of the Turks and many more facts.  At the end of Mr. Shockley's class he gives them a verbal quiz and passes out suckers to those that answer correctly, so Andrew asked three questions and gave out suckers.  This was a great learning experience for him!  Thank you Mrs. Allen and Mr. Shockley for encouraging and inspiring your students!

Sleeping Beauty Play

Andrew had to miss a make up basketball game but his friends came to support him.

Piper wanted a picture with Sleeping Beauty.

Andrew was in the first lower school play this year. It was Disney's Sleeping Beauty.  He was one of Malificent's goons.  He also had a speaking part.  He performed Thursday, Friday and Saturday.  Andrew did a great job!  He loved being on stage.:)
