School Parties

Andrew and Piper both ahd School Parties this week. Piper was to dress up and bring a sweet treat. We made Mini-Pumpkin Cupcakes and she was Sleeping Beauty. She also made a small craft. Piper is really enjoying her school 1 day a week at Great Oaks Mother-Day-Out. Andrew also had his party at school but his was more of stations along the gym and it's called Pumpkin Patch. Each class did a game or craft and I chose to do a craft for his class' station. They each picked a pumpkin from the stage and took a class picture then decorated their pumpkin with a silly face to take home. That night we all crashed, especially Mommy.

WicKeD

Date Night is so fabulous, especially if it involves FRONT ROW seats to WicKeD!!!! This show was so Clever, Funny and Sweet. It was the witch's point of view on the Real story of the Widzard of Oz. I personally LOVED it! We also had dinner at Flight downtown and spent the night at the Peabody. Flight is a great date night dinner and if any of you Memphians haven't stayed at the Peabody just once then you need to plan a date:)

More Zoo Boo pics

Zoo Boo

Now this is becoming one of our favorite traditions for Halloween. Zoo Boo is so much fun for my kids:) They look forward to it every year. This year Daddy even dressed up as Darth Vadar and had some "fans" as we went through the Zoo. Andrew was Luke Skywalker and Piper was Alice in Wonderland. There are candy tables throughout the Zoo to get a lot of candy. There's a Not So Scary trail thru the Monkeys. They also have animals out for you to see up close( lizard, owl, snake, scorpion, spider). There's also a Magic Show and Hayride. It is a looong night but well worth it!

My Big BackYard

If you haven't made it out to Memphis Botanical Gardens to visit My Big BackYard then you need to go soon. It is an awesome playground for kiddos. Some places feel like Honey, I Shrunk the Kids while other activities are very creative/exploratory for those Busy Bees (mine especially). We joined some old friends Hudson, Collier and met some new friends for this visit. Piper had a blast!

Pumpkin Carving

Well, we've really never done this before but Andrew really, really wanted to carve a pumpkin this year. Here's our creation: it's a wolf.
