....And American Honey...

So even though it was 104F, I still wanted to go to the Lady Antebellum concert.  Daniel had scored tickets from a friend at work last minute and I was so excited!!!  Thompson Square, Darius Rucker and Lady A were performing at Snowden Grove in Southhaven, MS.  The seats were fabulous:)  It was HOT but it was so AWESOME!!!!  ..I just wanna go back in time, to American Honey...

Library Cards

We have a wonderful Library in Memphis called the Benjamin Hooks Library.  It is pretty far away from the house but the Children's section is wonderful!  Andrew said it looked liked a Dr. Suess book inside it:)  Please don't think my children have never been to a library, they have, but it has been awhile.  We updated Mommy's Library card and they each got their own Library card this time.  Andrew wanted to find books about the Titanic and Piper wanted either Fairies or Princess (shocker;).  They have both enjoyed their books at home and now when we return them there will be a puppet show storytime in July.  Just another great summertime adventure on a (100 F) HOT day.

SURPRISE!!!! Happy Anniversary

Piper sang us a song, "Berry Best Friends Forever" from Strawberry Shortcake.

Andrew and Piper (and Nana) surprised us with an anniversary breakfast this week:)  Please excuse our attire because we had gone to the gym that morning.  When we got home there were two kiddos screaming HappyAnniversary at the back door as we walked in.  They had made us a delicious breakfast with apples, granola bars, bacon, biscuits & jelly and eggs.  The table was decorated so pretty.  They made us a card with a flower from the flowerbed and we had candles lit for the centerpiece.  Piper even sang us a song with her guitar and Andrew put the TV on the CMT music so we would have our favorite songs.  These are some AWESOME kids and we are so thankful God has blessed us!

Swim Lessons

Andrew and Piper took swim lessons for 2 weeks at our new gym Lifetime Fitness this summer.  It came with our membership:)  They both are very good int he water but Piper needs to work on actual swimming and Andrew jsut needed to improve strokes.  Coach Mary was great with them!  She took Piper first and she learned how to float, get diving rings, and two strokes (breast stroke and the crawl/scoop stroke).  Andrew was next and he learned how to do the crawl and breathe on the side, the breast stroke and the back stroke but for the whole length of the pool (25 meters).  He likes to say he swims laps now:)

Happy Daddy's Day!

This Daddy truly plays with his kids:)  We love him so much!  A zurbert kiss is perfect:)  His new sign is going in his office.  Happy Daddy's Day!

Harding Basketball Camp

Andrew participated in Harding's Basketball camp this summer.  He really enjoyed playing with his friends and learning some new things.  He received the Free Throw Award:)
